What to see in Nasca
Of course everybody wants to see the Nasca lines in Nasca. And there are two ways of seeing them. One is from the ground and one is from an expensive airplane.
As I did not want to pollute the environment just for my own amusement, spend a ridiculous amount of money and see the lines like the builder saw them, I decided to drive to the viewpoint.

You can take the Peru Bus from Nasca to Ica or vise versa to get to the viewpoint (3 Soles one way/0.90$). That’s also why you can do this visit on your way to from Nasca. The entrance to the tower is another 3 Soles.
However if you really want to do a flight, the prices are 70$ for 30 min, 90$ for 45 min and 140$ for 60 min plus 30 Soles airport taxes each. It’s recommended to do a flight in the morning, because of the weather and to have an empty stomach.
I stayed in the Nanasqa hostel which arranges flights and other tours around Nasca. The hostel is a bit out of town, but has nice rooms with private bathrooms and a very small kitchen, but at least you don’t get forced to eat breakfast.
They also offer a tour to the viewpoint, some other viewpoints and the Maria Reiche Museum for 50 Soles (15.30$), which is less than taking a Taxi to the viewpoint and back (60 Soles/18.40$).
