Cooking show

Every Thursday at seven pm there is a cooking course in the Govindas near Cummings.

Today they showed the spectators how to cook tofu with tomato sauce and cauliflower with bechamel sauce. It finally was served with some rice after a presentation of a local nutritionist about vegan myths. Unfortunately at the time of serving the food was already almost cold.

As the recipes are quite basic I did not take the effort to write it down. Furthermore I did not like the fact that the chef was using so much oil and salt. For those who are still wondering how to make a vegan bechamel, you simply replace the butter with oil and the milk with soy milk.

Never the less it was a good chance to meet some locals and ask my questions to a nutritionist. I just got the idea to make a separate blog for the questions.
