Warm Winter Muesli
Eating cold muesli in winter can sometimes be bleak. To fortify myself with something warm in the morning, I often resort to warm muesli. Unlike porridge, the flakes are not cooked but merely soaked. This means they retain more nutrients and the soaking doesn’t take quite as long, as the flakes soften more quickly. Together with the other ingredients, this muesli forms a solid basis for the start.

Warm Winter Muesli

- 1 cup oats
- ¼ cup raisins
- some goji berries, optional
- 1 Tbsp flaxseeds, freshly ground
- 1 brazil nut
- ½ lemon, juice

- water
- 2-3 Tbsp vegan yogurt
- some date syrup, optional
Instructions
- Put the oat flakes, sultanas, goji berries and flax seeds in a bowl.
- Cut the Brazil Nut into fine slices and add them as well. Mix everything together briefly.
- Squeeze the lemon and add the juice to the mixture.
- Bring the water to a boil. Meanwhile, wash the apple, cut it into small pieces and add it to the muesli.
